Hollywood Bus Tour Prices

How much is a Hollywood bus tour? Two-hour open-air loops cost US$21 to US$40, half and full days US$59 to US$93, hop-on hop-off from US$57 (October 2026). What each price buys.

Updated October 2026

A Hollywood bus tour costs about US$21 to US$40 a person for the classic two-hour open-air loop, US$59 to US$93 for a half or full day with stops, and US$57 to US$59 for a 24-hour hop-on hop-off ticket, as listed on GetYourGuide in October 2026. Tips are extra on every one of them.

The price follows the length of the day more than anything else. A two-hour loop is mostly bus; the longer tours add stops with free time, Santa Monica and a lunch break, and charge for the hours.

The two-hour loops: US$21 to US$40

These are the open-air tours most people mean by a Hollywood bus tour: from Hollywood Boulevard up to Mulholland Drive, past celebrity homes in the Hollywood Hills and Beverly Hills, a short stop at the Beverly Hills Sign, then Rodeo Drive and the Sunset Strip. Prices barely separate them.

The most booked is Hollywood Bus Tours’ Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Celebrity Homes Open-Air Bus Tour, from US$32 a person (October 2026), rated 4.5 from 2,905 reviews. The same tour from Santa Monica takes three and a half hours because of the drive in.

At this end the cheapest ticket is not always the worst. Golden Ticket LA’s small-group bus is the lowest price and still rated 4.5 from 210 reviews; it adds a ten-minute photo stop for the Hollywood Sign that most two-hour loops skip.

Half and full days: US$59 to US$93

Longer tours put you on the ground. Hollywood Bus Tours’ Best of LA City Tour with Stops and Free Time, from US$59, is five and a half hours on a closed, climate-controlled coach with 45 minutes on the Walk of Fame, half an hour in Beverly Hills, 45 minutes at Santa Monica Pier, lunch at The Grove and the Hollywood Sign viewpoint at Griffith Observatory. Hollywood City Tours’ LA Grand Tour by Open-Air Bus, from US$76, does a similar day in seven hours with the roof off.

At the top, Guideline Tours’ small-group city tour, from US$89, takes about ten guests in a minibus with hotel pickup, and A Day in LA’s full-day city tour, from US$93, adds Venice Beach and pickup from more than 150 hotels.

Hop-on hop-off: US$57 to US$59 a day

Big Bus’s hop-on hop-off ticket starts at US$59 for 24 hours and Starline’s hop-on hop-off tour at US$57. Both sell 48- and 72-hour tickets for more. The price looks close to a guided half day, but the commentary is recorded, the buses run on a timetable and you spend some of your day waiting at stops. The hop-on hop-off guide weighs it up.

What the price leaves out

Tips are not included on any tour here, and lunch is extra on the ones that stop for it. One LA Grand Tour reviewer in September 2026 wrote that they had not expected to tip the driver and found it added up for a family, so budget for it. Hotel pickup is included only on the small-group and full-day tours that say so; the open-air loops start at the curb.

A private bus is the other end of the scale: Hollywood City Tours’ private open-air bus is about US$359 for up to 14 people, which comes to less a head than two-hour tickets once your group reaches about 12.

Every tour on this page has free cancellation up to 24 hours before, and most let you reserve now and pay later. The best tour guide says which one fits which kind of trip.
