Almost every Hollywood bus tour leaves from within a few blocks of the Walk of Fame: Hollywood City Tours from 6609 West Sunset Boulevard, Golden Ticket LA from 6808 Hollywood Boulevard, Star Track Tours from 6735 Hollywood Boulevard and Hollywood Bus Tours from its visitor centre on the Walk of Fame. Several also run from Santa Monica, and the small-group and full-day tours collect you from your hotel.

All of the Hollywood ones are within walking distance of each other and of the Hollywood/Highland Metro station on the B Line, which is the easiest way in if you are staying Downtown.
Check-in times
The listings ask you to be there 15 to 20 minutes before departure, and they mean it. Golden Ticket LA’s says that if you are not there 15 minutes before, it records a no-show with no refund and charges to rebook; Access Hollywood Tours asks for 20 minutes. LA traffic is the reason most people miss a bus, so leave earlier than the map suggests.
Starting from Santa Monica
If you are staying by the beach, several operators start there instead. Hollywood Bus Tours’ Santa Monica tour, from US$52, leaves from the Santa Monica Visitor Center and Cafe and takes three and a half hours, with a stop at the Beverly Hills Sign, a Hollywood Sign overlook and 30 minutes on the Walk of Fame. The Best of LA City Tour also runs from Santa Monica. The extra time is the drive in and back.

Parking
None of the open-air tours includes parking; Golden Ticket LA’s listing excludes it outright. Hollywood Boulevard has paid garages and lots, which fill and get expensive at busy times, so the train or a ride-share to the meeting point is usually less stress. The hotel-pickup tours avoid the question altogether.
Hop-on hop-off stops
Big Bus and Starline have stops along Hollywood Boulevard by the Walk of Fame, and you can board at any stop once the ticket is active. Two Hours From Sunset Boulevard
Hollywood City Tours' open-top bus leaves from 6609 West Sunset Boulevard and passes the Walk of Fame, the TCL Chinese Theatre, the Dolby Theatre and Capitol Records before the Hollywood Hills, Mulholland Drive, Beverly Hills and a stop at the Beverly Hills Sign.
